Welcome to Kippa Travels, a site where you can find out about going round Britain in a yacht. If you have done the same trip or dream to circumnavigate Britain, then please get in touch.
Circumnavigating Britain
You can discover the ups and downs of circumnavigating Britain in the book Skippering Kippa, a virgin voyage around Britain. Your guide is Rupert Hugh Emerson, who gives talks about his adventures in aid of charity; see Talks.
Skippering Kippa is out now!

To order your copy please email rupertemerson@hotmail.com. Also visit the page The Book.
Skippering Kippa includes 21 colour photographs and is based on the log Rupert Hugh Emerson kept of his visit to 120 harbours and anchorages around the coast. There were many mishaps along the way including being towed in by a lifeboat and nearly being wrecked, twice, but there were highlights too, especially making camp in the Scottish Hebrides. While the book will appeal to seafarers it will also appeal to landlubbers because there is little "sailing jargon" although the sense of life aboard is very strong.
